A one-off Clarity Session.
Make room for your decision.
One decision keeps going round in your mind. A Clarity Session gives it focused attention: a 20-minute preparation call and a 90-minute reflective conversation for £125, with no ongoing commitment. We explore your own thinking and what matters to you; you remain in charge of the decision. In Southend-on-Sea or online.

A space to think.
A Clarity Session lasts 90 minutes where you can explore one specific issue, decision, dilemma or situation, in depth. If you feel stuck, conflicted, overloaded or unsure what to do next, this is for you.
I draw on my experience as a counsellor and coach to listen carefully, ask questions and help you examine the issue. The aim is a clearer understanding of your priorities and options, without promising a decision or a particular result.
You do not have to arrive with a neat explanation. The preparation call helps us agree a useful focus and check whether this format fits.
From a crowded mind to a clear thought process.
A focused conversation that helps you stay with one issue long enough to understand it more clearly.
A Clarity Session is built around one specific problem, question or decision. The aim is not to cover everything, but to give proper attention to the issue that matters most.
This is not about being told what to do. It is about creating enough focus and space for your own clarity to emerge.
We start with a 20-minute preparation call
Before the session, we talk briefly about what you want to bring. This helps reduce the issue into a clear problem statement, so the main session has a specific focus from the start.
We stay focused on the problem statement
During the session, I help you stay with the issue rather than getting pulled into every related thought, feeling or opinion. You have space to explore it properly, without being advised or directed.
You leave with deeper understanding
By the end, the aim is that you understand the problem more clearly, hear your own thinking more fully, and feel better placed to do what is right for you.
Room to hear your own thinking.
Many people talk to friends, partners, family members or colleagues, but still do not feel fully heard. Sometimes people respond too quickly with advice. Sometimes they have their own stake in the situation. Sometimes you filter what you say because you are trying to protect them, protect yourself or avoid judgement.
A Clarity Session gives you a more neutral space. You can slow the issue down, hear your own thoughts more clearly, and begin to separate what you think and feel from what others are telling you to do.
Attentive listening can create room to notice assumptions, feelings and options that are harder to hear when you feel rushed.
For when you need space to think, not another opinion.
This can be useful across personal, relational and professional situations where something feels important, unresolved or hard to untangle alone.
DecisionsWhen what you do next really matters.
Making an important choice about a relationship, career, opportunity, future direction or major life change. When the answer feels unclear, the stakes feel significant, or you are weighing competing priorities, values or possibilities. You might even have a blindspot stopping you from deciding.
RELATIONSHIPS & WORKWhen a relationship or conversation needs attention.
Conflict, communication difficulties, trust, boundaries, difficult conversations, leadership challenges, workplace tension, team dynamics, role conflict, or uncertainty about how to approach someone or respond to a situation involving other people.
CHANGE & DIRECTIONWhen your direction no longer feels clear.
Thinking through a change of role, direction or priorities when a specific question needs attention. If grief, burnout or emotional distress is the main concern, we can discuss whether counselling or another service would be more appropriate.
The kinds of things people bring.
You do not need to have the whole situation worked out before booking. These are examples of the kinds of issues a Clarity Session can help you explore.
If your situation is not listed, that is okay. Most people bring a unique mix of circumstances. The preparation call helps clarify the issue and whether a Clarity Session is the right fit.
In their words.
Existing feedback about one client’s Clarity Session, shared with permission. It describes an individual experience, not a result that can be promised to someone else.
“I had several ideas for growing my business but kept switching between them without committing to any one direction. By the end of the session, I had chosen one offer, set a price and mapped out the first four actions needed to launch it. I still use the values-and-strengths exercise to check whether a decision fits me before investing time in it. Carl listened carefully and helped me turn a lot of competing thoughts into a practical plan.”

A one-off reflective conversation, with clear limits.
A Clarity Session is not a substitute for counselling, crisis support, legal advice, financial advice or medical guidance. It is a focused reflective conversation for a specific issue, decision or situation that you are struggling to find an answer to.
If during the preparation call it seems that therapy, coaching or another form of support would be more appropriate, I will say so clearly.
Unlike an ongoing coaching programme, this format centres on understanding one issue rather than reviewing a series of experiments. It is not therapy, diagnosis or specialist advice. Further support is optional, not an assumed next stage.
One session. One clear fee.

Questions about Clarity Sessions.
What should I bring to a Clarity Session?
Bring one decision, dilemma or question you want to think through. You do not need a presentation or a polished explanation. The preparation call helps us agree a focus so the main session gives that issue enough attention.
Will you tell me which decision to make?
No. My role is to help you hear and examine your own thinking, feelings and priorities. You retain responsibility for the decision. This conversation does not replace legal, financial, medical or other specialist advice.
What if I need more than a one-off conversation?
We can discuss whether counselling or coaching would fit better. The Clarity Session is a separate focused conversation, not a therapy or coaching assessment. You can ask about suitability and meeting arrangements before booking.
